Land Surveyor (Land and Measured Building Surveyor)

Salary: £24,000 - £38,000 (Depending on Level)
Land & Measured Building Surveyor’s required to join an established Land Surveying team based out of Gloucestershire. Candidates for this position would ideally will be living within the Cardiff, Bristol Gloucester, Cheltenham, and Swindon region.
You will be working on a variety of different Land and Measured Building surveys across a range of sectors and project sizes using the latest total stations, GPS and 3D scanners.
The company is owner managed with the director being very hands on and approachable who trusts his surveyors to be responsible and not micromanaged. There will be a training and development plan formed with a clear path for progression within the business. The company also pays a profit related bonus, you have a company van that can be used for personal business with a competitive salary, overtime available, expenses and paid when staying away.
You will conduct your own processing which will break the working week up well as you will have a good balance of site and office/home working. The client has a good variety of work ranging from a small topo surveys to working with blue chip construction companies with interesting projects on Schools, Churches, and high net worth individuals’ properties.
Requirements:

· Familiarity with method statements and risk assessments

The client specialises in Major Infrastructure projects with the current project expected to run into late 2028.
This is a great opportunity to benefit from the mentorship from experienced engineers on exciting and complex projects. You will use all the latest Leica equipment (client has a close working relationship with Leica and often get new equipment to test for them).
Duties:
- Assist in the installation of Survey Control points
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications
- Collaborate with senior engineers to solve technical challenges and provide innovative solutions
- Monitor construction progress and report on project developments
- Support Senior Site Engineers with Machine Control
- Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld on-site
Qualifications:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- A current CSCS card
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- A passion for the construction industry and a desire to learn and grow
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering software is a plus
