Chance for a Utility Surveyor to join an established Surveying practice for a candidate based in Greater London. The client is a Specialist Land, Utility and Measured Building consultancy who also do some setting out and monitoring.
This position is ideally suited for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience who is proficient in using surveying equipment such as GPR, electromagnetic locators, total stations, and GPS.
The client offers flexibility with remote working options. You will be provided with your own car, laptop and phone. They don’t expect you to come into the office- process from home and manage your own work load with support on hand if you need it.
This a great chance for the right candidate to join a team of 20 plus surveyors who are looking to take their business to the next level over the next two years, doubling in size with strong growth plans.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct utility surveys using ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic locators, and other surveying equipment
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives
- Identify and map underground utilities including gas, water, telecommunications, and electrical lines
- Utilise survey data to create detailed utility maps and reports for client.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to accurately assess utility locations and depths

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person as the consultancy uses the latest technology in all their services and surveys, ensuring fast, reliable, accurate data capture and advice to be given to their clients.
A great chance to work on some prestigious and complex development schemes and take your skillset to the next level.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Undertake investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork
- Liaising with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients
- Create Utility Survey Reports
- Carry out appropriate quality control checks and issue data to CAD
- Check all survey drawings before they are issued to our customer
- Mentor and train less experienced surveyors
- Provide technical support to Project Managers and internal staff members
Qualifications and Experience needed:
- At least 2 years Utility Surveying experience
- Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility tracing and GPR
- Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
- Ability to post-process GPR data
- A full UK driving licence
- CSCS Card
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
